2007 Workshops

The 4th Mosquito & Pest Control Workshop, St. Augustine, Florida, March 27-29, 2007 (Sponsored by AMCD, USDA/CMAVE, FMCA & Clarke Mosquito Control)

The purpose: Exchange & share information about mosquito and arthropod-borne disease, mosquito population surveillance data, review recent developed techniques for surveillance and control of pestiferous insects, and provide training for professional employees.

The Major Topics: Mosquito population surveillance (population dynamic, surveillance techniques and attractants); Arbovirus / mosquito-borne disease surveillance (state program, local programs, surveillance techniques, and mosquito-borne diseases and control in other countries); and mosquito and pestiferous insect control (state program, local program, program evaluation, pesticide resistance and pesticide safety). Who should attend: Entomologists, epidemiologists, mosquito control workers, administrators, field inspector/sprayers, public health workers, biologists, veterinarians, and pest control workers.

Registration & Materials Fee: $150 including 3 lunches and 1 dinner. Cash/money order or Check will be accepted for registration fee. Make your check payable to AMCD and mark for workshop. We do not accept payment by any kind of credit cards. CEU credits (15) will be provided. Participation will be limited to 90-100 people. (RSVP March 13th)
