Biology
- Mosquitoes like all insects are composed of a head region, thorax, and abdomen
- All insects have three sets of legs
- Insects can have one set of wings or two sets of wings, mosquitoes belong to the group of insects called diptera (which means two wings)
- Most have a hard exoskeleton (no bones) made out of a material called chitin
- Insects do not have lungs - breathe through spiricles, similar to pores
- Mosquitoes begin life in the water
