Mosquito Fish

Mosquito Fish, Gambusia affinis, may be used as natural biological control agents in successfully controlling mosquito larval populations.  At our base station facility, we have three chambers for rearing mosquito fish populations.  The primary goal of this project is to release Gambusia populations into standing water sources to help alleviate mosquito larval populations and provide the residents of St. Johns County with an alternative method to chemical control.
